Australian born, Sydney-bred. I moved to Hong Kong in 1994 and spent over two decades cataloging its paradoxes - the ancient ladder streets of Sheung Wan and Central juxtaposed by massive glass and steel towers. Hong Kong became a springboard into Asia and the rest of the world.
Striking hotel photography demands knowing how to work with both the built environment and the subtleties of the human form to convey a luxurious experience and an aspirational lifestyle. To that end, I am fortunate to work with the world’s top hotel groups including The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Group (Ritz-Carlton, St Regis & Westin), Rosewood Hotels and of course the IHG group. Hand in hand photographing hotels comes working with great chefs in fabulous restaurants and using my keen eye for detail and composition I strive to create beautiful photos from stunning dishes. Joel Robouchon, Alain Ducasse and Gordon Ramsey are just a few of the renown chefs and restauranteurs I have had the pleasure to work with.
As a former architect, I am able to intuitively engage with architects and designers in bringing their projects to life in the photographic realm. Speaking the same language puts me in the same creative space as my clients. I aim to combine my distinctive, graphic, evocative style and considered composition and lighting with expert photo retouching skills to create finished work that is engaging and authentic.
It’s been a great ride so far but those who say it’s all about the journey are only half right. The other half, the more important part is achievement, reaching the pinnacle as one. What one person can do multiplies exponentially in a team environment. Problems shared are problems halved, quartered, reduced finally to accomplishment.

My work has taken me around the globe. I’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies and cottage industries, and everything in between. I revel in the collective approach. Challenges identified; problems solved. The accolades and awards have come and I’m proud of them but at the end of the day, satisfaction comes from work delivered on time every time, briefs met, clients content and I return to my other great love: Home and family.
